About Garrett Merchant
Garrett Merchant has been a video producer since 2004. Over the years, he has filmed / edited / directed a large variety of short films, documentaries, and commercial projects around the Gulf Coast.
In 2009 he was hired to shoot a promotional film for the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum in Biloxi, MS. This gave him a unique opportunity to interview the world famous architect, Frank Gehry. This film was presented to the heads of the casinos and banks in Biloxi, MS in order to successfully gain finishing funds for the Museum.
In 2006 he was hired to shoot the actor Charlie Day's wedding in New Orleans, LA. He has shot many notable weddings in the Mississippi area including one in 2010 where he was hired to shoot alongside the celebrity wedding photographer, Joe Busink.
Garrett's promotional videos are his current main focus. These videos highlight and showcase in a tasteful way local businesses, individuals, organizations, & events. In 2012 he was asked to film a promotional video for Adult Swim's Unknown Hinson (Early Cuyler of Squidbillies) promoting Fender Amps.
In his free time, he has used his film-making skills to support CARA (one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in Mississippi) and The Haven (a no-kill animal shelter in Fairhope, AL).
